Justin Timberlake took the stage at the iHeartRadio Album Release Party at the El Rey Theater in Hollywood Monday night, where he performed music from his new album, The 20/20 Experience (out Tuesday) and chatted with Ryan Seacrest. “It’s retro slash modern,” JT said of the new album, which drops Tuesday.
Celebs in attendance at the exclusive event included Victoria Justice, Siva, Tom, and Nathan from The Wanted, Holly Robinson Peete, Emmy Rossum, Anna Kendrick, Jordin Sparks, Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed.
During the party, Justin performed three songs from hit latest project: Current single, “Suit & Tie,” follow-up single, “Mirrors” (which has spent three weeks at #1 in the UK) and “Let The Groove Get In,” which he describes as “if the Jackson 5 went to Brazil.”
Timberlake also treated fans to previews of three other songs from the album: “Body Count,” “Dress On,” and “Tunnel Vision,” which he says he created after listening to a lot of Ok Computer (‘I’m a huge Thom Yorke fan,’ he confesses).
At the end of the night, Ryan Seacrest asked Justin if he had anything more to add. Justin obliged.
(LITERALLY STOP YOUR ENTIRE LIFE AND SIT DOWN)
“THIS WHOLE THING ABOUT THIS ONLY BEING THE FIRST HALF OF THE ALBUM,” Justin said.
“IT’S TRUE”
He didn’t divulge a release date, but it’s now been confirmed that there’s still a lot more to come from The 20/20 Experience.
Once the live web and radio broadcast ended, Justin kept the party going for his fans. He went on to perform, “Like I Love You,” “My Love,” and “Cry Me A River” before finishing his set with “Señorita.”
