Justin Timberlake is the new face of golf! The musician will be on the November issue of Golf Digest in addition to hosting the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas from October 13-19.
In Golf Digest, Timberlake talks about his love of the game and how it connects him with friends and family. His parents are renovating a golf course in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee that is set to reopen in July 2009.
“For me, golf is one of those things where you go out and forget about everything else” Timberlake says.
Justin says his music has influenced his golf swing! “(I’m) self-taught. I’d watch Tiger [Woods] and Ernie Els on TV and try to learn from what they did, but obviously I related music to it. The golf swing is very, very rhythmic. There’s a certain tempo to it, just like in music.”
