What is it like for superproducer Pharrell Williams to work alongside Dr. Dre on the Game’s forthcoming R.E.D. Album? “Humbling, man.” Williams, who is co-executive producer of the LP, talked about his excitement in a statement released Tuesday (April 13). Game announced that The R.E.D. Album will be released on June 15, and Pharrell can’t wait for the universe to listen. “Game is good, kid … and I’m excited for the world to hear the many facets of his character,” the producer said. “What’s even crazier is that as a fan, I cannot believe I am actually producing songs on the same album as Dr.Dre. [It's] humbling, man … I owe Game for that one. His album is gonna be a problem.” Williams produced the first two singles from the album. One is for the streets and the other features a Billboard charts assassin, so you know where that one is going. The street record is called “It Must Be Me,” and the other is a song we’ve been hearing about for quite some time: It features unlikely Game collaborator Justin Timberlake and is called “Ain’t No Doubt About It.” “I never thought I would have the chance to work with Justin, but to come up with a smash like we did, it’s only fitting,” Game said in the statement. The Compton MC also talked about reuniting with Dr. Dre for the project. “Dre is a hip-hop legend and one of the reasons I’m making music,” Game said. “To be working so closely with him again … man, I don’t even have words to describe it. My two favorite producers are helping me with the direction of this album. I couldn’t be in a better position.” Are you excited to hear The R.E.D. Album? What will the Timberlake collaboration sound like? Sound off in the comments below! source: mtv Looks like this year is gonna be packed with JT singles, gotta love it. I’ve been missing a JT- Pharrell production so I’m looking forward to this track |
