Justin Timberlake has become the king of the award nominations as he, Beyonce Knowles, and Chris Daughtry led the way for the American Music Awards nominations  that were announced this Tuesday.

Those four acts received three nominations each. Timberlake will battle Akon and Timbaland for favorite male artist. Knowles is up against Fergie and Avril Lavigne for favorite female artist. And Linkin Park will square off against Maroon 5 and Nickelback for favorite band, duo or group.

Chris Daughtry, the former American Idol contestant, saw his band Daughtry score nominations for favorite album, favorite adult contemporary artist, and favorite breakthrough artist.

Receiving two nominations apiece were Akon, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Young Jeezy, T.I. and Carrie Underwood.

The 35th annual American Music Awards show will air Nov. 18 on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel will host the event, which will be held at the new L.A. Live complex next to the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Daughtry, Celine Dion, Fergie and Rihanna are expected to perform at the show, according to the Associated Press.

For the first time this year, members of the public will be able to vote for nominated artists online at abc.com.

So cast your vote now, and don’t forget to vote for JT at the Europe Music Awards here where he leads with 3 nominations as well. Let´s make him do great at these award shows.
