Don´t forget to catch the 35th edition of the American Music Awards, which will be handed out at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, tonight.
Comedian and talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel will host the 5 p.m. awards show, which will be televised live in much of the country by tape-delayed on the West Coast by ABC.
Justin Timberlake is one of the top nominees this year.
He is up for: favorite male artist, and his latest CD, “Future Sex/Love Sounds,” is nominated for favorite album in the pop/rock and soul/rhythm & blues categories.
Other artists nominated include :Linkin Park, Beyonce Knowles, Fergie, Akon, Maroon 5, Nickelback, Rihanna, American Idol contestants Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood and much more.
Winners of the awards are chosen by a combination of sales, radio play and public voting.
Mary J. Blige, Jonas Brothers, Lenny Kravitz, Queen Latifah, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland are among those expected to perform during the show, along with Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, Chris Brown, Daughtry, Duran Duran, Fergie, Maroon 5, Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna and Will.i.am.
