In Time is set in a world where ageing is frozen at 25 and humans are programmed to die a year later.

Instead of earning cash, they work to add extra years to their quota.

In our exclusive video to celebrate the Blu-ray and DVD release, Justin and Amanda – as their characters Will and Sylvia – are interviewed about their lives.

Justin recalls the struggle to accrue days and hours since the death of his father.

And he says: “I can remember giving my mum a time capsule with a whole hour in it.

“The day my clock started we were already so far in debt my year was gone in a week.”

Mamma Mia! star Amanda, looking stunning with a copper-coloured bob, has grown up in a time-rich family.

She says: “My friends probably won’t move out of the house until they’re 100.”

The thriller sees Will accused of murder and going on the run with hostage Sylvia.

It sounds like Elton John’s hope for Justin Timberlake to play him in his biopic is more than just wishful thinking these days.

Sir Elton’s husband, David Furnish, tells me the two music superstars have been talking to each other about the project.

So what’s the hold up?

“We’re searching for a director,” Furnish told me earlier today as he was overseeing preparations for the 20th annual Oscar viewing party benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation. “It’s important we all share the same vision.

“Elton and Justin have had conversations about it,” he continued. “Justin also says he has to feel comfortable with the director and the director has to be comfortable with Justin. The chemistry is really important. There’s no race to make this. We’re just going to take the time to make it right.”

The “Crocodile Rock” legend told the Los Angeles Times last month that Timberlake is “No. 1″ on his wish list because he did such a “superb” job playing him in a David LaChapelle video for “Rocket Man.”

One of the biggest fashion icons of the male universe, Justin Timberlake is in New York to promote the new fragrance by Givenchy. The line, launched in 2008 by the brand builds a new version that comes to the market in June and has touches of ginger and lemon. “I helped to choose the perfume and approved. I don’t normally use anything,” he said on Thursday (16).

Quem talked to the star in one of the most popular hotels in Manhattan, the Standard in the neighborhood of Greenwich Village. Timberlake said he has always been vain and that it takes no more than five minutes to set up your look. “It’s something that has to be on you, no use trying to force it. I don’t spend hours in front of the closet thinking about how I rock. I simply go with the appearance I have at home,” he said.

The singer and actor is currently playing in two film projects: “The Trouble With Curve,” director Ribert Lorenz and “Inside Lewyn Davis,” the new Coen Brothers film about a singer and composer who lives in New York in the 1960s. “I do not know if I am currently more a singer or actor, I just know that you don’t refuse an invitation from the Coen brothers and that’s it. I’m in the movie,” said the boyfriend of actress Jessica Biel. But Biel is a forbidden subject in the interview. Justin admits he won’t be answering questions about his personal life in any circumstances. The rest of the interview you can see in upcoming issues of the magazine Quem.

I replaced the SNL videos with the NBC versions because the available ones were all taken down. Since those videos are only viewable for people in the USA I made some download links. Check them out below:

Download – Justin Timberlake as a crew member on the Bronx Beat skit

Download – Justin Timberlake as Bon Iver on the Blue Ivy skit

Justin made a surprise appearance on SNL tonight :D  From Mediaite:

Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler anchored the best fictional talk show of all time, a recurring sketch called “Bronx Beat with Betty and Jodi.” The show’s premise didn’t seem to extend beyond chewing gum, talking about the hosts’ personal lives, and repeating “live your life” a zillion times, but I appreciate when TV personalities know their limits. It was already a delight to see Poehler in this sketch (and she seemed giddy to the point of breaking a couple of times), but it was a surprise when Justin Timberlake showed up with Andy Samberg as a crew member harboring a secret desire to bang at least one of the hosts.

Rudolph and Poehler are so great together, and it was amazing to see how unattractive Justin Timberlake can look with the right weird/sad facial hair. This was a highlight for me!

Justin also made a second appearance as Justin Vernon from the folk band Bon Iver. Think ‘Simpatico’ but twice as weird lol (5:00 mark):

Check what Vernon had to say about the performance via twitter

And some cute moments from the ending:

Owner of a keen fashion sense, Justin Timberlake is also a singer, record producer, a successful actor, and a fashion role model. Always on top of the most important lists of men full of style, Justin has a brand, William Rast, which focuses on the jeans, and is often photographed next to Anna Wintour, the powerful fashion editor from the U.S.

Directly from New York, Marie Claire interviewed the singer/actor about the launching of his new fragance, Play Sport by Givenchy. Justin Timberlake was delightfully humorous and immaculately dressed – donning a black suit, a skinny well-cut blue shirt, and a hat to protect him from the cold and the rain (with temperatures of only 4 º C). The interview took place on top of the Standard hotel in New York, which had one of the most enchanting views of the city.

Poster boy of French fashion house’s men’s fragrances since 2009 when it launched and participated in the production process of the perfume Play, now Justin’s campaign presents Play Sport, with notes of lemon, but slightly sweet and a little more fresh. “This time, the actor and singer was not directly involved in the development, but the process followed the guidelines passed by him when creating the fragance,” says Patty Cooper, manager of development of Givenchy perfumes. “They did the work this time, but I was being told what was happening and I approved the results without hesitation,” adds Justin.

Notably vain, he says jokingly that his main ritual of beauty is to feel beautiful – “but only on the outside,” he emphasizes, laughing. “When I have a red carpet event, I spend some time getting ready. Yes, I like the ritual of choosing clothes, trimming the beard and leaving the hair looking well cared of. It’s almost a day-by-day transformation”.

“I am not like that,” he says, now in a serious tone.

The design of the bottle of the new perfume follows the same musical concept thought for the first bottle which imitates the form of an iPod. This association, according to the label, is to approach it from a portable perspective, easy to understand and with a young man look. Or mild, uncomplicated and good-humored as Justin Timberlake – ending the interview with one last favor: “I hope you enjoy this wonderful time to walk around town a lot,” he says, referring to the cold winter. But according to recent reports, this weather is among the milder the United States has ever lived.

Play Sport is slated to be released in the USA in March and in Brazil in June

MySpace’s new owners, Justin Timberlake and the Vanderhook brothers, Tim and Chris, are planning a major revamp of the one-time social networking giant. As new Entertainment chief Roger Mincheff told TheWrap, “the revolution is coming.”

MySpace will produce a slew of new original video programming that will air on MySpace and will be syndicated to other outlets. It will also be in the business of acquiring content from new media studios like Electus.

The timing of this launch remains unclear, but with Timberlake running the show, MySpace is taking another run at turning itself into a go-to destination for social entertainment, and Mincheff, a former Fox exec, has been tapped to run its entertainment wing.

Charged with developing and acquiring — and even syndicating — original video content, Mincheff talked with TheWrap about this new, secret social-media plan, Timberlake’s role in the company and how you reinvigorate a decaying brand.

Question: What brought you to MySpace?

Justin used a phrase once that kind of hooked me: “You’re not cool because you say you’re cool — you’re cool because you do something cool.” MySpace has to do a lot right, but content is one of them — and content is a differentiator. Justin and the Vanderhook brothers represent such a force, such an energy.

At MySpace, we can build and make great content that helps brand us and build equity in the company. That’s what everybody is trying to do. We have this phenomenal differentiator because no matter what you think of MySpace, when you look at the roster of bands, musicians, comedians and models that have come off of MySpace, we arguably are one of best farm systems in the world.

Question: As someone who worked in branding at Fox, how do you evaluate the MySpace brand — and how can you improve upon it?

MySpace has unbelievable brand awareness. In the most recent-brand awareness study, we’re right below Facebook. The next obvious question is: “Great they know you, but what do they think of your brand?”

Question: And…
We can’t ignore fact that there’s a brand issue we have to address. But we have three things going for us.

One, there’s an incredible passion and nostalgia for the brand.

People love the rise, even more they love the fall — but everyone’s favorite is the comeback. And this is just a phenomenal story in the making.

Two, what an unbelievable story. I’m going to age myself, but I can’t think of a story other than Lee Iacocca and Chrysler that would speak to what happens when MySpace completes this journey.

Three, the fact that Justin is a creative driving force in this company … As easy as it was for people to not like News Corp. it’s just as easy to love Justin and this brand.

Question: So it was to the company’s benefit that News Corp. sold it?

They admit they screwed up. They took something so cool, so indie … I’m not picking on News Corp., but clearly the shift in MySpace’s perception happened under News Corp. When they made decision to bring on Justin, the reason I feel that was so smart, it stopped becoming News Corp.’s black eye and became, “Can Justin save MySpace?”

Question: We’ll get to Justin in a second, but I want to ask about what you will be doing. What kind of video are we talking here — a YouTube channels model, a Netflix/Hulu original content model, a network TV model?

Those are some loaded phrases. We are MySpace’s internal production and entertainment company, so we are the content producing arm of MySpace. Anybody can make great content, but we are the home for discovery and can leverage one of the best farm systems in world.

In terms of producing video, we will both produce video and acquire video. We will work with partners … anything I do that elevates our talent is a win for us — even if it is working with studios, production companies, record labels and creating content on their behalf, or them creating content for the farm system.

Question: How are you using Justin in this? Will he go to celebrities and musicians that he knows and ask them to create original content?

It is very important to note that Justin is not the celebrity face; he’s not the spokesperson for MySpace. He will not be in advertising or on the logo. He is not doing video messages on the website.

He is an owner and the creative driving force. He has been very proactive about building the machine. Justin has been an unbelievable resource and has in every way been behind all elements of MySpace’s re-imagination.

Clint Eastwood is coming to Macon early next month to film a scene for a baseball-themed movie at Luther Williams Field.

And the producers are holding tryouts at the ballpark this Saturday for ballplayers to appear in the movie.

The movie is called “Trouble with the Curve.”

The film’s sport coordinator Aimee McDaniel says they plan to film at Luther Williams Field on Thursday, March 8. She says Clint Eastwood will be part of that filming.

She says they’re looking for people to play minor league baseball players and will hold tryouts at Luther Williams this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. They’re also looking for coaches and umpires.

The movie also stars Justin Timberlake, Amy Adams and John Goodman.

McDaniel says no other major stars of the film are expected to be in Macon on March 8.

Imdb, the Internet Movie Database, describes the plot: “An ailing baseball scout in his twilight years takes his daughter along for one last recruiting trip.”

The film is the directing debut for Eastwood’s producing partner, Robert Lorenz.

Film industry newspapers say the movie is scheduled to open in theaters on September 28 — at the end of the Major League Baseball season.

The Associated Press reported that residents and business owners in Dawsonville, in northeast Georgia, are also preparing to host filming for the movie, which is scheduled for 10 days in mid-March.

Scenes for a major motion picture starring Clint Eastwood are scheduled to be shot in Dawsonville next month.

Pravin Patel, owner of Amicalola Lodge, confirmed Friday that the motel on Ga. 53 west of downtown will be the backdrop for several scenes in “Trouble with the Curve.”

The baseball drama will feature Eastwood as an ailing scout who travels to Atlanta with his daughter to see a hot prospect.

“I’m so lucky. It feels like I won the lottery,” Patel said.

The film is also set to star Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake and John Goodman.

Patel said dozens of movie execs toured the motel Thursday. Work has begun to renovate four rooms, add a patio and build a canopy over the office entrance.

“They’re making one of the rooms bigger and are doing some work on the ceiling,” he said. “They’ve been here working for about the last 10 days.”

Local authorities said they were contacted several weeks ago in preparation for the filming that will take place for 10 days in mid-March.

According to Patel, producers told him they would also film scenes in Athens and Macon.

Patel said the producers told him the Dawsonville stay will be the longest of the movie’s filming process.

He’s excited and proud they chose his motel.

“I’ve owned this motel for 20 years, and I’ve been thinking about retiring, so we put it on the market to sell,” he said.

“After this movie and all the renovations, I think we’ll have an easier time selling it.”

JUSTIN Timberlake is bringing sexy back to MySpace.

The flailing social networking-turn-entertainment-hub is expected to announce today (AEDT) the arrival of one million new users since December.

Timberlake, along with brothers Chris and Tim Vanderhook, bought MySpace last June for $35 million from Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation – which paid $580 million for it in 2005.

The singer-turned-actor plunged much of his own money into the deal because he wanted for users to have place where they “can can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect”.

“MySpace has the potential to be that place,” he said back in June.

Emphasis on potential, JT, who played Facebook co-founder Sean Parker in The Social Network.
That was pretty big talk considering who had just bought into a business which had lost more than 43 per cent of its user base since its heyday of 2008.

At its peak ,MySpace received 75.9 million unique visitors a month, but by June 2011 that number was down to about 33 million and dropping daily.

But just when the company looked like it was about to be stripped for its parts it looks like the trio have earned some bragging rights.

The co-owners attributed its membership boost to its new media player which launched in December.

“We went from zero sign-ups per day to 40,000,” Chris Vanderhook, the company’s chief operating officer.

MySpace also announced a deal with Panasonic for MySpace TV last month which will allow users to share and comment on TV shows and music videos.

Vanderhook also attributes the sites growth to its integration with Facebook and Twitter – sites it no longer considers its competitors – allowing its users to listen to its library of 42 million tracks across multiple social networks.
