The singer is known to be a fan of the sport, and even created his own golf course near his hometown of Memphis. There have been rumours he has a special room in his house where he goes to practice his putt, but Justin has laughed off the claim.
“I have way too many expensive pieces of furniture in my house to do that. That’s a little ridiculous,” he laughed. “But, yeah, I mean I do wake up in the morning and I walk by my clubs and well, look at me now. I’m sitting here with a wedge in my hand right now. And I’ll walk around my house with a wedge. I have hardwood floors and I’m tapping it on the floor as I walk around the house.”
Justin’s love of golf comes from his father, Randall. He was adamant his son should practice the sport from a young age, but Justin was less keen. It wasn’t until he became a teenager that he grew to enjoy games.
“My dad tried to get me into it when I was about ten years old, but I never really picked up the game. And then, about six or seven years ago, I took up the game and immediately became addicted,” he explained to callawaygolf.com. “More or less because I was on tour and I wanted to get outside. It was a great way to get outside. Then I started really hitting the ball. From there it became, ‘OK, how do I switch those interviews around so I can go hit balls?’”

Onstage with TechCrunch’s Mike Arrington and The Facebook Effect author David Kirkpatrick at this week’s TechCrunch Distrupt, Sean Parker was asked by an audience member, “How do you feel about getting the better looking actor to play you?” referring to Aaron Sorkin’s upcoming film “The Social Network” where actor Jesse Eisenberg will play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and Justin Timberlake will play Parker.
“I met JT once – He was a really nice guy. I actually don’t think he looks anything like me, but he did grow his hair out for me.”
