When Jon Biel wanted to enlist some help for a music charity for underprivileged New York children, he knew just where to turn: daughter Jessica’s boyfriend: Justin Timberlake.

Through Jon Biel, Justin Timberlake saw a newspaper story about Ten O’Clock Classics, which provides lessons and instruments, and agreed to autograph a baby grand piano to be sold at a Sept. 29 auction.

“He cares about music education and wants to make sure these kids can continue to have music lessons,” says Ronen Segev, founder of the non-profit, which also received a signed piano from Billy Joel and is working with other celebrities. “They listen to his music and they connect with him. He is the inspiration for their love of music.”

Justin will sign and personalize the fallboard (directly above the keys, on the right side) for the winner once the auction has concluded. Proceeds from the sale of this Steinway will help Ten 0′Clock Classics continue to provide the children of Harlem with free music lessons.

Steinway & Sons has the reputation of crafting the world’s finest pianos and that tradition certainly rings true with their beautiful Baby Grand. The winner has a choice of brown or black.

Pop prince Justin Timberlake has persuaded superstar saxophonist Kenny G to take part in his Oct. 14 celebrity golf tournament here to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children. Kenny is one of the biggest-selling instrumental musicians of the modern era, with global sales totaling more than 75 million albums, with 45 million of those sold in the U.S.

Kenny is ranked No. 1 on Golf Digest’s Top 100 list of musician golfers. Kenny, who has played golf since high school, will be joined by Alice Cooper, Smokey Robinson and other celebrities in the Championship Pro-Am at TPC Summerlin.

Justin Timberlake is bringing sexy back to one of L.A.’s least sultry neighborhoods — Century City.

The pop star’s L.A.-based denim brand, William Rast, announced plans to open a store at the Westfield Century City Shopping Mall on Nov. 1. A second full-priced store will bow simultaneously at the Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Mall in San Jose, along with an outlet store at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, Calif.

The trio of openings marks the company’s first foray into freestanding retail, though plans are in the works to roll out 40 to 50 additional outposts in major metropolitan areas over the next several years.

“Our headquarters are based in Los Angeles, so it made sense for us to open our first store here,” said Colin Dyne, chief executive officer for the company. “Also, the roots of William Rast are entrenched in both Tennessee [where Timberlake and co-founder Trace Ayala are from] and Hollywood, so it is a natural extension for the brand to have one of our first stores located here.”

The full-priced stores will feature the brand’s full breadth of slinky, grungy denim and sportswear for men and women, and will also act as test labs for new and limited-edition styles, including silk tops, leather jackets and accessories.

And no, the walls won’t be covered in blowup photos of J.T. The décor will be “rooted in the iconography of American denim heritage and biker culture,” said Dyne, adding, “It will have a unique combination of natural wood finishes combined with more modern treatments such as our signature neon signage.”
