The first reviews of “The Open Road” are in. They are not that spectacular, but some of them gave Justin a pretty good praise for his acting.

Directors who work with Jeff Bridges and Justin Timberlake don’t normally know where McAllen is. Michael Meredith does. But then again, he’s not like most directors.
Meredith is a Texas-bred writer/director who — despite moving on to the bustling film industry of New York — stills holds an appreciation for the Lone Star State, where he went to college and got to know well while on his way to visit his mother in San Miguel Del Allende, Mexico.
He loves it so much that is has what could be considered a supporting role in his movie, Open Road, which opens in limited release today. It will show five times a day for at least the next week at Carmike in Edinburg, one of only fourteen cities in the country to be getting the movie this weekend.
In the movie, minor league baseball player Carlton Garret (played by Timberlake) takes a road trip to find his estranged father (Bridges) after his mother falls ill in Houston.
Filmed in 26 days, the movie was filmed on a tight schedule at locations across the country, from Memphis to the Whataburger field in Corpus Christi.
Meredith, who attended the University of Texas at Austin in the era that produced fellow directors like Robert Rodriguez, spoke with Festiva via phone recently about how he dealt with a grueling film schedule and to give advice for budding filmmakers.
How will people here relate to Open Road?
It’s definitely set locally, so I think people in Texas in part might relate to that. But it’s also a family story. … It’s a real reconciliation story. Me and a lot of my friends went through that as kids. I think people can really relate to that.
How was it filming a movie in 26 days?
The pace was insanely quick. We were up against the writer strike at the time. We had limited resources. You really lose the opportunity to relax on the set and try things that aren’t in the script. But it also lets you take risks that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
What was it like working with Justin Timberlake?
It was great. When I finished the script, the first character I wanted to cast was Kyle (Bridges). I don’t write with actors in mind. … I also had a real demanding role to film with Carlton because physically we had to buy him as Jeff’s son and a baseball player, but he also had to be a talented actor because Jeff is such a pro. I didn’t want to put someone in who didn’t have the acting chops. Once we all sat down and met, I realized they had the right chemistry. He was great and really set aside his otherwise busy life. He has a lot of stuff going on, but focused on the script and the filmmaking.

Justin working with Drake
Drake is currently in Los Angeles working with Justin Timberlake & Timbaland on his first studio album “Thank me later”
The canadian rapper revealed the news in a phone chat with DJ Drama on Hot 107.9 radio.
Other artists he is planning to collaborate with include Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and Andre 3000.
He was quoted saying the following:
“I know that I have to carry the majority of the weight by myself. The features have to be carefully picked. I could call on every favor that’s owed to me or to everybody that’s reached out and said they wanna work. But that may be a silly decision on my part. Because I don’t wanna take away from myself carrying my first album.
So that record [potentially with Andre 3000 and Sade] is something important to me. Obviously [I'm gonna work with] Wayne. I’m out here really trying to get something special with Justin. Hovito [Jay-Z], we might need to get him. The track on this album was a real catchy joint. But people wanna hear us rap together.
That’s one of my goals, to have that track with me and Jay. Maybe don’t even have a hook, maybe. Have just like you haven’t heard him in a minute, just going bars for bars. That might be something you’ll hear on the album.”
Drake is hoping to release the album next year around San Valentin’s Day.
[Rumor]: Justin & Snoop Dogg working together ?
The latest scoop in the industry is that Justin & Snoop are set to star in a musical together.
JT is being lined up to appear in a new movie produced by Hong Kong singer-and-actress Leslie Loh. Leslie said: “We are in talks with Snoop and Justin about a film.
“It’s a perfect marriage between movies and music and will suit them down to the ground.”
Justin & Snoop Dogg in a musical together ? That’s something I’d be interested to watch. But for some reason I’m not sure if I see this happening.
Update: Looks like this rumor is a total fake. Read here
Childhood friends Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala launched William Rast in 2005 with the idea of marrying Tennessee grit with Hollywood chic. Since that time, the line has found a devoted following, with a fan base that reads like a Who’s Who of fashion and A-list celebrities. We talked to Co-founder Trace Ayala about his unlikely sources of inspiration, why they wanted to go beyond denim, and what he finds sexy about the way women dress.
Your fall runway show had a distinctly rock and roll sensibility. Who or what were some of your design inspirations for the collection?
We get our inspiration from all aspects of life really. Not so much from the fashion world as from popular culture in all its different forms—music, art, movies. We get inspired when we see an amazing new artist perform, a new work of art, or a new movie, and we build our own creativity and style from that. Of course there are great Americana influences in our work but never in an obvious vintage way. We always strive to take it to a completely new and modern level and create something with credibility. For the fall collection the main inspiration was American biker culture and the Rat Pack
You were one of the few denim designers to have fashion’s elite editorial corps represented at your fall runway show. Why do you think William Rast appeals to this more fashion-forward woman?
We think William Rast appeals to any woman who does not want to try too hard with fashion but still wants to be sexy, on-trend, and express herself in a confident way. Our look is a sexy and confident tomboy look that many women can relate to, but that is hard to find in stores. We think every girl or woman should own that perfect leather jacket to go with her perfect pair of jeans.
Why did William Rast decide to branch out from denim into ready-to-wear?
When we started William Rast, it was really an expression of our own unique style, so we looked to traditional American denim culture for inspiration. However, at a certain point, extending our line into a full collection was a natural step since we wanted to offer a complete look to complement the denim. By adding in leather jackets, utilitarian shirts, and t-shirts that work with our classic denim pieces, we created a line of clothing that is fashionable, sexy, and wearable for a woman, whether it is for day or evening.

Kings Of Leon have announced details of a remix album which will include reworkings by the likes of Mark Ronson and Linkin Park.
Drummer Nathan Followill revealed that the idea for the album came about after the band heard that Justin Timberlake and Pharrell had remixed some Kings Of Leon songs without telling the band.
Followill told Billboard.com that the band were into the idea, adding that Lykke Li and Kenna are now also among the artists working on the album.
“It’s neat to have these people who we would’ve jumped at the chance to work with ourselves…coming to us before we even get a chance to ask them,” Followill explained. “It’s amazing to hear your song played by these people who are so creative. Most of the time it takes me two or three listens to even wrap my head around, ‘Oh man, that’s our song’.”
