Justin Timberlake, who in 2007 signed a 5-year deal to be the host of Las Vegas’ PGA Tour event, will be headlining Las Vegas golf again, October 12-18, 2009. The PGA Tour officiallly released the Fall Series schedule recently, and the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open falls the week after the President’s Cup that is being played nearby at San Francisco’s Harding Park Golf Course. That could be good news for the Las Vegas PGA Tour event as the world’s top players will be just a short flight away from Las Vegas, and could come to play in the tournament that is played at Las Vegas golf course TPC Summerlin.
By most accounts, the 2008 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open was a success, but organizers are looking forward to bigger and better things in 2009. Timberlake has said that he is upping the star power for the Wednesday Pro-am, while also keeping the same amazing level for the beneift concert, Justin Timberlake and Friends, that blew the doors off the Planet Hollywood Theatre at last year’s event. A few of the notables participating in events surrounding the Open inluced Ellen Degeneres, Rihanna, The Jonas Brothers, Amanda Beard, 50 Cent, Lionel Richie, Janet Jones-Gretzky, and many others. The golf tournament was won by Marc Turnesa, a pro golfer who comes from a long line of golf professionals and PGA Tour players. His great-uncle, Jim, won the 1952 PGA Championship, and his grandfather, Mike, was a six-time winner on the PGA TOUR who finished second to Ben Hogan in the 1948 PGA Championship. Mike was one of seven brothers, six of whom played on PGA TOUR. One of those, Joe, was a 15-time PGA TOUR winner. The only brother who didn’t turn professional was Willie, the 1938 and 1948 U.S. Amateur champion and 1947 British Amateur winner. “I don’t really feel like I’m carrying on a name,” Turnesa said. “I guess I am without even thinking about it. I’m just trying to play golf as best I can and that’s all I can really do.”
Turnesa came to the 18th hole with a two-shot lead but struggled to make a bogey, thus solidifying his first PGA Tour win. ”I was just trying to breathe, really,” said Turnesa after receiving the trophy from Timberlake. ”You know, I was … I wasn’t out of control nervous, but I was feeling it. I was just happy to get it done.” One of the first people to greet Turnesa after the event was Las Vegas’ Butch Harmon, a longtime friend of the family. Harmon also has helped Turnesa with his swing.
The 2008 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open kicked off a five-year commitment between the Shriners Hospitals for Children and Justin Timberlake to continue the tradition of a PGA TOUR event in Las Vegas. The golfers and celebrities participated in the competition to help support the Shriners’ mission, while enjoying the signature flair that Las Vegas has to offer. All proceeds from the event benefitted the Shriners Hospitals for Children. The concert was said to have raised more than $1 million.
Formed in 2008 by guitarist and vocalist Jared Mullins, Heavy Glow recorded an EP at Velvet Revolver’s L.A. studio in 2008, with San Diegan guitarist-producer Stevie Salas (Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, George Clinton, Justin Timberlake, T.I.).
Recorded in just four days, the EP’s six songs were all tracked live, with only minor overdubs added later.
During the recording, Salas invited Jared to a Record Plant session for T.I.’s new album, with Justin Timberlake producing. “Timberlake and T.I. were both pretty chill. I didn’t talk to them too much, because I didn’t want to be THAT guy.”
“Justin had some great melodic ideas for the songs,” says Mullins. Very intuitive, and very impressive knowledge of appropriate chord changes and melodies. He came off as the kind of person who wants to push the boundaries…I remember him saying ‘Once in awhile, you get to be the lucky son of a bitch that gets to take chances,’ or something to that effect.”
p.s: I didnt know that band, but its cool when artists praise Justin’s work and talent. They always have great things to say about him.
Justin Timberlake shows off his auction skills helping raise over $75,000 with Jessica Biel and Kevin James for the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital during the “Make the difference” charity event which is organized by Jessica and her family.
The rumored tracklisting for Timbalands new collaboration album has been released, and Justin appears in 3 tracks:
Meltdown Ft. Gwen Stefani and Justin Timberlake
Across The Sky Ft. Madonna and Justin Timberlake
Love Song Ft. Justin Timberlake
If true, I cant wait to hear these songs (I’m almost sure the Madonna track is indeed legit) , JT and Timbo are a great team and the artists “that are collaborating” in these tracks are amazing as well.
The official version of T-Pain’s Can’t belive it remix (feat. Justin Timberlake) has been released to itunes. The song has now been extended and you will hear Justin singing new lines in it.

Lol, is that supposed to be JT ?
Speaking of Itunes I see that right now Andy Sandberg’s video “Jizz in my pants” which features Justin as a supermarket janitor is #1 on their music video chart. That’s nice!!!
Access Hollywood has revealed their Top 5 Male Stars of 2008 with Justin Timberlake coming in at #3 with 33 stories reported about him. The top 2 spots were occupied by Barack Obama (2) and Brad Pitt (1).
Here is what they have to say about Justin:
…But movie stars certainly weren’t the only ones showing up on Access over and over again this year. In fact, Kicking things off with his bruising Super Bowl Pepsi ad, taking the stagebested Clooney and Cruise with 33 stories this year.
as host of the ESPYs and ending the year in high heels alongside Beyonce on “Saturday Night Live,” all the while dodging countless relationship questions about girlfriend Jessica Biel, reigned supreme when it came to Access’ male music star coverage in ’08.
That’s a step up from 2007. Even though Justin didnt have an album out to promote, he managed to chart higher than last year when he was featured in the list at #7 with 19 stories, congrats JT.
“Saturday Night Live”‘s Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone announce their debut album, reveal their deepest secrets and talk about their relationship Justin Timberlake:
Here is the excerpt about Justin:
Pitchfork: Going back to people you guys have worked with, I’m curious about your relationship with Justin Timberlake, because he’s done a few different things with you guys. What is that relationship like?
Schaffer: Lovers? Is that a fair way to put it?
Samberg: Uh, yeah, I mean, he’s just tight. Everything about him is super tight, like in all definitions of the word. Um, no, he’s our buddy.
Schaffer: We’re just excited any time he’s willing to come slum it with us, basically.
Samberg: Yeah, basically.
Taccone: I like to hang out with people whose talent dwarfs mine and makes me feel really insecure at all times. That’s why I like hanging out with him.
Samberg: But you know, it’s the kind of thing where that dude can do anything he wants and he’s really good at a lot of things, and he’s super funny and he likes hanging around with us and every time we hang out with him and do something it seems to work, so we kind of just take it anytime he’s around and in the mood.
Pitchfork: It’s way in the past at this point, but do you ever remind him, “Hey man, remember when you were in that boy band?”
Samberg: Uh, we don’t really have to. He’s a fairly self-effacing dude. He’ll make jokes about that shit himself, so we don’t really need to.
Schaffer: He constantly reminds you he was in it. He’d like pull up old YouTube clips of *NSYNC and be like, “Hey, you ever see this one?” and I’ll be like, “No man, I never saw that one.” “Aw, you’ve got to sit down,” and he’ll make you sit down and he’ll watch you watch it so you know you have to watch it the whole time. He makes you watch old clips of *NSYNC.
So today a new T.I & Justin collabo has leaked to the internet. The song is called “If I”. It is said to be produced by Timbaland, and is probably a leftover from T.I’s Paper Trail album.
“If I” has this very sexy sound to it, with the classical Justin falsetto, and I gotta say that JT & T.I make a great duo.
p.s: The song is very funky & cool, I specially like the intro. So…they keep teasing us with all these collaborations, and unreleased tracks, how long till we hear stuff from a brand new JT album ???
Here is the bit about Justin Timberlake in the new issue of the British Edition of GQ Magazine which features Jessica Biel as the cover story for the January issue.
Jessica doesn’t really talks about Justin in the interview, cause she likes to keep their relationship private, but the editor shares some facts about them.

Together with his Lonely Island troupe writing partners, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, “” star Andy Samberg will work with on their debut album “Incredibad”. Other big names which will also be featured on the upcoming LP are , , , and ‘ frontman Julian Casablancas.
“We definitely wanted it to be a classic comedy album, but also one you put on more than once,” Andy told MTV News. “We’ve gone out of our way to make it musically pleasing. We started on a few songs that were not funny enough, for us, but they sounded pretty cool. And the bottom line for the project was, ‘Is it going to be funny first and music second?’ I think it’s 95 percent music, and we hope people would throw it on and bump it.”
Lead single off the record will be a song called “Ji– in My Pants”. Commenting on his work on the song, Andy said, “When I first heard that beat, it sounded like abeat. My first reference was a club jam, and then we threw some generic Euro Brit dudes on top, because, to be honest, we don’t have the chops to crush a Timbaland beat.”
“Incredibad” is due for U.S. release on February 10, 2009. It will include such songs as “Di– in a Box”, “Lazy Sunday” and “Natalie Raps”.
