Reveille has teamed up with Justin Timberlake to produce an American adaptation of the hit Peruvian comedy “My Problem with Women” for NBC.
The project, which Reveille will co-produce with U.K.-based Power and Frecuencia Latina International, has received a script commitment by the network.
“Problem” follows the adventures of Jose, a thirtysomething bachelor who begins seeing a therapist in an attempt to understand why all of his romantic relationships fail. Problem” marks singer-actor Timberlake’s first executive producing duties on a scripted TV project. He is exec producing with his manager David Schiff, Power’s Justin Bodle and Chris Philip as well as Jaime Carbajal. Miki Ivcher, CEO of Frecuencia Latina International, will serve as an associate producer, and Jay Weisleder as a consulting producer.
“I am excited to be collaborating with Reveille to create an American version of this hugely successful and very funny show,” Timberlake said.
“Problem” is based on the Peruvian show “Mi Problema con las Mujeres,” which was created by Perez Garland, Christian Buckley and Paul Vega and has been sold to 20 countries around the world. “‘My Problem with Women’ offers a clever and hilarious take on the battle between the sexes,” said Reveille managing director Howard T. Owens.
“With our success in adapting international television programming for U.S. audiences combined with Justin’s creative instincts as an entertainer and performer, we are looking forward to developing another megahit for NBC.”
